I finally received my Pinterest invite a few weeks ago, but didn't actually pin anything until today. Aaaand now I'm hooked. I'm thinking of it as Twitter for pretty things, though I don't actually use Twitter, so that could be really inaccurate.
I gave my boards names like"I want to go to there," "I know the perfect spot for this," "I could pull this off," and "We should make this together." I've already got one follower, so I'm pretty sure I'm about to be a Pinterest celebrity.
